KeepUp (“we”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy and the privacy of children whose data we process. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights under Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who we are
KeepUp is a Ghanaian education platform connecting schools, parents, students, and tutors. This policy covers our public marketing website. The KeepUp mobile and admin applications are covered by their own in-app privacy notices.
What we collect
- Information you give us through forms: name, email, phone number, school name and size, role, and the content of your message.
- Tutor applications: in addition, your subjects, qualifications, location, and identity verification details.
- Newsletter signups: your email address.
- Technical data for security and abuse prevention: IP address and browser user-agent.
- Privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (via Plausible) that do not identify you personally.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiries and book demos.
- To review tutor applications and verify identity.
- To send you the updates you subscribe to (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To prevent spam and abuse of our forms.
- To understand, in aggregate, how our site is used so we can improve it.
Lawful basis
We process your data on the basis of your consent (which you give by submitting a form or subscribing), and our legitimate interest in operating and securing our website. You may withdraw consent at any time.
Children's data
This marketing website is intended for adults (school administrators, parents, tutors). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through this website. Information about students is processed only within the KeepUp applications, under agreements with their schools and with appropriate parental consent.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the site — for example our hosting provider (Google Firebase), email provider (Resend), scheduling provider (Cal.com), and spam-protection provider (Cloudflare) — and only as needed to provide those services. These providers may process data outside Ghana; where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards.
Retention
We keep enquiry and lead data only as long as needed to follow up and for our legitimate business records, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent and unsubscribe at any time.
- Lodge a complaint with Ghana's Data Protection Commission.
Cookies
